You will receive a copy of the property inventory on the day you move in to your new home. This is a written and photographic account of the contents and condition of the property that you will be asked to sign. The purpose of the inventory is to detail the state that you took charge of the property versus the same upon exit. Inventories may be referred to from time-to-time during property inspections.
An inventory is an impartial way to judge the condition you keep the property whilst considering general wear, tear and dilapidations that would happen in any property.
If you are a long term tenant and you would like to make subtle changes to the property to make it feel more homely this is possible with express permission from the landlord via Tabern Property Consultants. Upon exit you will be reasonably expected to return the property to its prior condition upon exit. Any holes made in walls, for example, for TV brackets, pictures or lights will need to be patched then painted to cover any marks.
